»PQ-Box« – The First Choice for Mobile Power Quality Analysis and Rapid Fault Diagnosis

Engineered for tough conditions. Built for rapid analysis. Designed for intuitive operation.

power-quality-analyzer

The PQ-Box family combines powerful, portable power and frequency analysers, power meters, and transient recorders in one compact device.

Ease of use and intuitive operation were key priorities during development. For fast and reliable analysis of power quality, these high-precision Class A instruments (IEC 61000-4-30 Ed.4) are equipped with a wide range of trigger functions and pre-installed standard-compliant report templates.

All mobile power quality devices fulfil the high demands of IP65 and can also be installed and used outside. They also have a large operating temperature range of – 20°C to + 60°C.

In addition to IEC 61000-4-30 Ed.4, the measuring devices also fulfil all requirements of the measuring device standards IEC62586-1 and IEC62586-2 Ed.2 for Class A devices.

The purpose of the program is to prepare the archived power quality measurements and fault events from all PQ Boxes for the viewer and present them appropriately on the screen of the PC.

PQ-Box App

Easily Read out Power Quality Data From Your Tablet or Smartphone

The PQ-Box app enables wireless access to your PQ-Box via WLAN with visualisation and display of various live measurement data, including basic parameterisation of the device. In addition to an overview of the online data, the recorder and events, power and energy, pointer diagram, oscilloscope image and harmonics of the PQ Box can be viewed. Basic parameterisation of the device is also possible. The intuitive operation guarantees simple and mobile operation of your PQ box from A. Eberle.

The Right Box for Every Frequency

Our Mobile Power Quality Analyzers

Today’s devices and equipment such as switched-mode power supplies, frequency converters, controlled drives, charging devices for e-mobiles or LED lighting, work internally with high clock frequencies and power to be controlled efficiently. These can lead to both line-bound and field-bound (coupled) influences in the energy grid.

Typical clock frequencies of systems and devices that we have to reckon with in our networks today:

  • 4 kHz to 20 kHz: Frequency converter drive
  • 16 kHz to 22 kHz: Solar inverter (400V)
  • 2 kHz to 6 kHz: Wind power plant (medium voltage grid)
  • 10 kHz to 80 kHz: E-mobile
  • 8 kHz to 20 kHz: Active grid filter
  • 15 kHz to 25 kHz: UPS systems
  • 20 kHz to 200 kHz: Electronic ballast
  • 30 kHz to 300 kHz: Switching power supplies

The power quality analyzers from A. Eberle have a high bandwidth which is free of aliasing effects up to 170 kHz (PQ Box-300).

These devices can be used to detect the mains feedback in the super-harmonic range of solar inverters, e-mobiles and frequency converters. The IEC61000-2-2 standard already offers compatibility levels for the public grid of up to 150 kHz. These limit values are already stored in our measurement technology.
