New Firmware for the PQI-DA Smart and PQI-DE
In order to increase your pleasure as well, we would like to inform you as usual about all NEWS concerning our product group.
With the firmware version V. 2.10 for the device platform PQI-DA smart and PQI-DE, we are opening up further in order to be able to make our high-precision measurement technology independently usable for your application. After the implementation of the open and widely used protocol PQDIF according to IEEE 1159 in version V. 2.8, this is a further step towards interoperability.
With this firmware version, all measured variables have been implemented in the very efficient and cost-effective Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP protocol (data point list). On the one hand, the devices can be used for the control of generators, regenerative generation plants, such as solar parks and wind turbines, in the area of EZA control and monitoring of the DIN-VDE-AR guidelines. Here, “actual value feedback” is possible on the basis of the 10 ms TRMS rms values of current, voltage and power. On the other hand, the monitoring of filters in the superharmonic range, but also the free evaluation in cloud systems and the detection of data lakes are possible.
This means that the application possibilities of our measuring devices are now almost limitless!
The possibility of using the PQI-DA smart and PQI-DE devices as Modbus gateways with immediate effect also brings real added value. The Modbus gateway enables cost savings in cabling and expands the possibilities for integrating the measuring instruments into your existing IT environment! For example, it is possible to connect our compact EOR-1D device for earth fault monitoring, as well as intelligent current sensors with Modbus RTU output or low-cost metering solutions, to your central SCADA or energy management system in the future. The PQI-DA smart and PQI-DE measuring devices then provide you not only with the power quality measurement data but also with the measurement data of your subordinate, already installed measuring devices. The advantage of this – the devices are your BLACKBOX and in the event of a fault you always have access to all line-related EMC violations, highly automated and reliable and parallel to the Power Quality Expert Software WinPQ.
